The Gambia
History, culture and adventures with crocs and monkeys (1-2 nights)
Quiet as it’s kept, the ferry crossing from Bara in Senegal to Banjul is part of the adventure itself. You can get a glimpse of Gambian life with fishermen crossing in smaller boats and people going about their daily life.
In The Gambia the tour includes a visit to the National Museum – a small but important museum for introducing visitors to Gambian history and culture.
The Kachically Crocodile Pool is more than a spectacle – it is a sacred and spiritual place for the Gambian people. Learn about the sacred rituals tied to the Crocodile Pool, visit the Kachically Museum and take a walk through the park among massive ancient trees and get close to crocodiles basking in the sun.
At the Bijilo Monkey Park, you may be surrounded by curious monkeys that sometimes eat right out of your hand. Be sure to buy a bag of peanuts to feed them.
Relax on the beach or catch a vibe in the evening in the Senegambia area with its wide choice of restaurants, bars and live music before heading to Dakar.
