Once you have confirmed your itinerary and are ready to book your tour experience, SHIMA Travel Tours makes it easy for you to secure your booking by making a variety of payment methods available to you.
How Our Tour Booking and Payment Process Works
We pride ourselves on quick and clear communication to curate the best tour experience for you. Once we have worked together to create a custom package, we offer a variety of payment methods for your convenience.
📝 STEP 1: Client chooses a tour experience in Senegal or The Gambia based on schedule or desired destination, and completes the appropriate tour booking form;
💬 STEP 2: We contact Client via WhatsApp or Email to finalize the package
💳 STEP 3: Client pays a deposit via the secure chosen payment method.
Accepted Payment Methods for Tours in Senegal and The Gambia
Wire Transfer
Available for advance bookings only. Timing requirements apply.
Local Mobile Money
Telecom-based mobile wallet services commonly used in Senegal and The Gambia, such as Orange Money or Wave.
Digital Payment Platforms
Third-party peer-to-peer payment services such as PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App, subject to availability and prior confirmation.
Availability of digital payment platforms may vary by location and booking timeframe.
Not Accepted at This Time
Debit and credit card payments are not accepted during our initial launch phase.
Clients who book tours while already in Dakar, Senegal may make cash payments in local currency (CFA), Euros, Pounds Sterling or USD (based on the current market exchange rate). Cash deposits are due at the beginning of the tour. The balance is payable at the completion of the tour.
All international clients (including US Based clients) may secure their booking by making their deposits through mobile money transfer apps including Western Union, Paypal and Xoom.
We accept wire transfers from international clients for bookings made at least 15 days in advance of the tour start date.
Please note: Clients are responsible for all transaction processing fees. Transaction processing fees are not included in the pricing provided by SHIMA.
